Study on Shrinkage Cracking Morphology of Cement Mortar with Different Nanoclay Particles under Restraint

In this paper, different types and particle sizes of nanoclay (nano-metakaolin—NMK—and nano-attapulgite—NMA—clay) were selected to study the effect on properties cement-based cementitious materials. The stability dispersions was analyzed. effects mechanical cracking behavior cement mortar discussed. crack propagation analyzed by flat knife-edge induced constraint ring experiments. research shows that degree aggregation NMA particles is lower than NMK. larger size NMA, aggregation. NMK, in water. NMK has best improvement mortar. smaller size, more pronounced effect. flexural strength ratio, compressive elastic modulus ratio 7 d 28 are 76.7%, 67.4%, 61.2%, respectively. plate experiment, maximum width NMK-3 NMA-2 reduced 33.3% 25.0%, respectively, compared with ordinary length 55.1% 33.1% total cracked area NMK-1, NMA-1, NMK-3, rings increased 64.3%, 45.0%, 92.7%, 49.7%, after 60 days. can advance time mortar, but it inhibit generation development cracks refine width.
